Heelmedix is a heel emptying device that helps prevent pressure ulcers on sensitive heels by using a comfortable cushion like design. Heelmedix Heel Protector completely empties the heel and helps redistribute pressure through an open heel design that provides clinical monitoring of the skin
For easy size detection, the boots have color-coded labels and all have a mesh laundry bag for patient traceability. Heelmidix also has four separate straps that can be adapted to the needs of the patient and used to protect against falling feet. In addition, optional wedges can be used to ensure correct positioning to prevent medial and lateral rotation. The heel boot is treated with UltraFresh® anti-microbial to protect against the growth of bacteria-causing odor and the outer surface has Nylex material for easy cleaning. Soft absorbent lining reduces the risk of friction and slipping and removes skin from moisture, protecting the patient against other skin damage.
